Our Story — Born from a River, Built by a Family

Twin Bridges Distillery began the way most good things do — with a simple idea and a stubborn belief that it was worth pursuing.

In 2020, we launched as a two-person operation in Murray Bridge, South Australia, with one goal: to make craft spirits that genuinely reflected where we came from. The Murraylands is one of South Australia's most underrated regions — fed by the Murray River, rich with agricultural heritage, and home to a community that takes real pride in what it produces. We wanted to put that spirit in a bottle.

What started as a passion project has grown into an award-winning family distillery. Our gins have taken home medals at the Australian Distilled Spirits Awards (ADSA), and we've gone from a two-person team to a small but dedicated crew who believe that what you make is only as good as the care you put into it.

How We Distil

Every bottle that leaves our distillery is made in small batches — because that's the only way to do it properly. Small batches mean we can be precise about every botanical, every still run, every drop. There are no shortcuts at Twin Bridges, and no compromise on quality.

Our flagship spirit, Downstream Gin, was built around balance: crisp juniper, bright citrus, warm cinnamon, and a delicate elderflower finish. From there, Downstream After Dark was born — a butterfly pea gin that transforms colour when mixed, earning multiple awards and turning heads wherever it goes. Dark Sky Gin followed, for those who prefer their spirits bold and complex. And our liqueurs — Limoncello and Coffee Liqueur — bring the same level of craft to every pour.

We're not done yet. Our first proper barrel of single malt whisky is quietly maturing, and we can't wait to share it.
